This bondo is cured. The trick is to use a special bondo file (cheese grater) to remove the soft top coating.. Otherwise you gum up your sandpaper. NOTE. the change in color from where he has taken the lair off. Posted by Picasa

Laying on the goods Posted by Picasa

The old man decided to come over this last weekend. We just call him the bondo king. He used to work that racket as a young wipper snapper. This weekend he remembered why he found a better job doing something else. (PREPWORK) involves noise and a hammer. Posted by Picasa

Here is a shot of almost complete traction bar. Posted by Picasa

We did have to alter the suspension. The passenger side shock had to be moved to the back side of the axle.  Posted by Picasa

We used the ground as a squaring up tool. It keeps the two bushing ends Parallel to each other. Posted by Picasa

Here is the finished end. We found that notching make it easier to weld strait. Posted by Picasa

Here is a example... Right through the center. Posted by Picasa

Another close-up. Posted by Picasa

Here is the jig that we used for notching the tube. Simple piece of uni-strut. A V-block would be more ideal. Posted by Picasa
