We cinched the frame down to simulate ride height and Im about to weld on traction bar bracket Posted by Picasa

Cleaning it up to weld in the bushing mount Posted by Picasa

Almost ready to be welded Posted by Picasa

Almost square .. watch that bubble Posted by Picasa

squaring up the bushing with the link Posted by Picasa

Look at me drilling Posted by Picasa

Happily drilling away Posted by Picasa

Hard to see in this photo but the hole saw went right through Posted by Picasa

We made the bushings using a left over projector mount. Inside diameter of the pipe was perfect Posted by Picasa

Arne wasted some time making mounts on the engine hoist for the engine stand. It does keep it nice and mobile though and takes up less space Posted by Picasa

Todays task is a traction bar. We started off a little slow because we had to go get the metal and we tried to get a heater. We still made some good progress. Here you see a simple jig we made to insure we were drilling through the center of the pipe. We went with 1.25 sch 80 pipe ... should be good enough. This jig ended up working surprisingly well. Posted by Picasa

so seriously the finished product. these pieces have been smoothized(to smooth an unworthy item to exacting standards) Posted by Picasa

Im an idiot Posted by Picasa

at this point we have made two pieces and since our tooling isn't that good we have to clamp them together and grind to make them the same Posted by Picasa
