Turn your head. hood stay or prop or whatever you call em. We did this a couple weeks ago. This blog things makes me want to focus on things that are visual instead of tedious wire routing Posted by Picasa
One for the kids. Kai will probably have a real motorcycle by the time I return this part for his trike :( Posted by Picasa
Filled some wholes in the passenger side fj40 door. Need to find a wing window with hardware Posted by Picasa
Even though we are clearly committed to this project it was difficult to take scissors to the top. Well get an action shot of chad with the scissors. the idea is to shorten the top just like we did the body (except with a needle and thread) Posted by Picasa

I would say the wiring under the hood is done. You can see the final wire gutter all cleaned up and the driver side loom. If you look close you can see the mech. temp sensor on the drivers side Posted by Picasa

Weekend goodies. Picked up an original fj40 pto winch. on the side you can see the teq stamp. Posted by Picasa

Just because its easy ... Here is the free rack we made. Note the wood tips placed stragecally for wind resistance and load support. The Red Baron is now the official tube transporter. The tubes are 20ft so they will still hang over by 8FT YIKES. Posted by Picasa
The before ... what is that a ghost. Posted by Picasa
There we go to bad the before is blurry ... Ill post it up next for fun. Posted by Picasa
Ah my eyes the blur is killing me .. front after Posted by Picasa
Front Before Posted by Picasa
Actually the rims were a bonus as the old tires were mismatched dry rotted and probably unbalanced. Got a nice deal on these and they have plenty of tread for ye ol Red Baron. Posted by Picasa
Everything looks better with nice wheels. Nothing like polishing poo. Posted by Picasa
Another dash shot. You can see the lights in the guages a little better. Posted by Picasa
Hard to see in this picture but the guages are in and this might be the last time we mount the dash. Tach and water temp work and we still need to hook up the oil. Went with auto guage mechanicals. All the lights work on them and they look great. Posted by Picasa
These are just plain cool. Posted by Picasa
All the lights are working blinkers, tail, and brake lights. LED brake lights next picture. Posted by Picasa
Weekends work was electrical. Got the engine "harness" done minus a couple of notches in the wire channel. Love that split loom. Posted by Picasa

The last picture was a set screw on the steering that we did last week and here is a shot of the brake line retaining spring. Posted by Picasa

Put wheels on the generator to make it into a cart. Still need handles. They are kind of heavy so I didn't want to carry it around anymore. Posted by Picasa
Another shot of the dash. Posted by Picasa
Hard to see but chad used our nice new "machine" tools to "brush" the dash. Looks great Posted by Picasa
Using these cool bulkhead connectors for the tail lights and any extra accessory wires we might need under the hood (tach, air compressor, others) Posted by Picasa
