how to finish up the bottom of the seat backs? both sides have "extra" material, I can do similar to how it was but it looks like crap

Had to redo the pan, first one is my first attempt, second one is new notch with piece for reference, and the third is done
 

 

 

Had to fish the dipstick out so here is the engine back together, still got the good chevy leak as you can see, dual battery here too

You can sort of see the particle on the right hand side of the spread apart pleat on the ridge of the upper portion, the blurry thing is zoomed in, Id call this metal and its not the only one.
